For years, many of you have gathered with me in the summer to walk through Bible studies together. It’s one of my favorite summer traditions as teachers gather together to open God’s Word, share life, and encourage each other when classrooms are quiet and schedules are a little slower.

We don’t know about you, but the Back to School season can be hectic and overwhelming. We get giddy over new BTS supplies. We know with BTS season around the corner, you will be purchasing an endless amount of tape, stickers, folders, glue, pencils, Expo markers, and new classroom decor.

Friends, there is something that we should obsess over when preparing for our new school year. Prayer. Prayer is the ULTIMATE classroom preparation. I have compiled a list of things to pray for as you prepare your room and your heart for next school year.

Teaching not only comes with a great opportunity; it comes with great responsibility. Such responsibility requires near-supernatural ability, which is why I believe prayer is an essential companion.
